The Opihi should arrive this morning from Timaru to load for Nelson and New Plymouth. , She sails via Wellington. The Foxton may arrive this afternoon to load for Foxton. She is timed to load again for the same,port on Monday. The Remuera should arrive this morning from Timaru'to load. ' She sails on Saturday for Wellington. ... The ShaW, Savill,' and Albion liner .Matakana is expected to-day from Wellington for further loading. She is to sail this evening for Port Chalmers to complete. The Zealandic should arrive here to-mor-row from Port Chalmers. The Hertford is due to-morrow from Wellington to continue discharge of her Liverpool cargo. The Cygnet is to be dispatched to-night with cargo for Kaikoura and Wellington. The Kaitoa is timed to load here to-morrow for Nelson and Motueka. The Holmdale should arrive on Tuesday from Timaru to load for Wellington and Wanganui. The Progress is an expected • arrival from the south on Wednesday. She is to sail the same day with cargo foe Wellington, New Plymouth, and Waikato.

The Calm Bailed last even ins for Bluff, Dunedin, and Timaru. She should arrive back on Tuesday to load for Wellington and Wanganui. The Gale sailed yesterday for tlio south. She is due back on Sunday and loads on Monday for Wellington and Wanganui. The Katoa should arrive to-morrow from Picton to load for Auckland direct. The Kaitoke is due on Saturday from Westport, via Bluff, Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru, and will complete discharge of her cargo of coal. The Kurow is due on Saturday from Auckland and Wellington, and is to sail' the same day for Dunedin and Timaru. The Waipahi is to load here on Wednesday for Napier and Gisborne. The Herminius, which left Auckland on February 26th. for London, via New York, Boston, and Halifax, sailed from Colon on Friday morning.

The new light now ?n course of erection on the west head at tho entrance to Tory Channel will be lit to-day. The character of the light is ns follows:—Group flashing white, showing flashes every 20 seconds: then flash 1 second, eclipse .1 second, flash 1 second, eclipse 17 seconds. The light is situated at an elevation of 146 ft in a white tower. The arc of visibility is from 267 degrees through west to 010 degrees, and from 076 degrees through east to 131 degrees ; obscured elsewhere.
