SUCCESSFUL SOIL EXPERIMENTS (PEESB ASSOCIATIOM TELEGRAM.) ... NELSON,; February,, 13. ■ At a meeting of the trustees of the Cawthron Institute of Scientific Research a letter of congratulation on the success of the Pakihi investigation carried out by the Institute was read by the Director (Professor Easterfield) from the Buller County Council! The letter stated: "The Council at its last meeting resolved to heartily congratulate the Cawthron Institute and staff, on the great success of the experiments thq,t have attended your efforts on the Pakihi soil between Sergeant's Hill and Fairdown. The Cpuncil is particularly pleased with the results that have been demonstrated, and will grant every assistance! within its means, for the' continuation, of your good work."
