There was an uproar in the Reichstag when Herr Hugenberg, who was responsible for the plebiscite fiasco, attacked the Government upon the Young Plan. He was eventually howled down. Dr. Curtiss emphasised the advantages of the settlement and said that he was convinced that the result would be n considerable alleviation of the nation's burdens.
