WHOLESALE. • The annual bowling match, Wholesale v. Retail, has been arranged to take place on the Canterbury green on Saturday, February 22nd. The teams are now being setotted, and the names will be announced later. This match is now a recognised fixture, looked forward to with pleasure by all bowlers in the wholesale and the retail business. BUILDERS AND PLUMBERS. A friendly bowling match was played at the Beekenhum green yesterday afternoon between representatives of the bu"der« of Christchurcli and th# delegates to the Plumbers Conference. Results (builders' names first) —Muirson 28, Ramsay 16; Marker 20. Barrett 16; Efford 29, Cross 14; Calvert 22, Dixon 15; Lorimer 26, Colrman 16. Totals; Builders 125, Plumbers 77.

KAIAPOI CHAMPIONS. The Kaiapoi Working Men's Club's doubles bowling championship was won by J. C. Simpson and J. Taplin, and the Kaiapoi Club's championship by T. Batie and W. C. Tourell. The section winners are:—Blaxall, Westpoit (Section A), Levy. Westport (Section C), while Harkness (Westport) and Stevenson (Hokitika) tied in Section B. The pairs matches have begun and will be continued to-morrow.

A round of sport has been arranged in connexion with the visit to-morrow of H.M.S. Veronica, including cricket, swimming. and rowing.
