FIRES.
DRAPER'S SHOP GUTTED

WOODVILLE, February 12. Fire broke out at Woodville at 12.30 p.m., completely gutting a large wooden building owned by the Grinlinton Estate and temporarily occupied by Mr Drummond (a draper), of Hunto*ville. An adjoining building occupied bv a Chinese was also damaged. The building and stock -were insured.
FIRE AT MAHINA BAY.
(I'BEPS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, February 12. The bush caught fire this afternoon at Mahina Bay, near Days Bay Reserve. and after threatening the residences of Dr. Fell and Mr C. J. McKinnon, completely destroyed an old residence of Mr BlHndell's. About two hundred people held the flames in check, saving the other properties.
