AIR PAGEANT.

CANTERBURY AERO CLUB'S DISPLAY. All arrangements far the Canterbury Aero Club's air pageant, to be held at the Wigram Aerodrome on Saturday, are well forward and the pageant promises to be a geat success. Everything has been done to study the convenience of the public. Morning and afternoon tea will be available and there will be stalls at which ice cream and soft drinks will be obtainable. There will also be an ambulance tent, an enquiry tent, and a retiring tent for ladies. Derry's Band will give a programme of band music. Arrangements have been made for the control of traffic on the roads and within the grounds. The Railway Department, though not running special trains, is charging day excursion rates, and the Tramway Board is running special trams from the Square. . The secretary of the Canterbury Aero Club has received advice that the following have indicated their intention of attending:—New Zealand Air Force, Wing-Commander Grant-Dalton, Squad-ron-Leader L. Macdonald; Tsew Zealand Airways, Dunedin (Simmonds Spartan), Mr H. M. Mackay; Otag,o Aero Club (Simmonds Spartan); Southland Aero Club. Messrs F. W. Dixon, F. Simpson, and S. MR F. C. CHICHESTER WILL ATTEND PAGEANT. The Canterbury Aero Club has received word from Captain P. C. Chichester that he has definitely accepted the invitation to attend the club's pageant on Saturday. In accordance with 'the suggestion of the club, he will arrive at the pageant at 2.30 p.m., and his partner, Mr Goodwin, will come down in another machine from Wellington. The Mayor (Mr J. K. Archer) stated last evening that he will tender the airmen a civic reception on their arrival at the Wigram Aerod|pme.

NEWS OF VISITING FLYERS. [THE PBESS SpecUl Service.] WELLINGTON, February 12. Captain Hewett, the Auckland airman, who is to attempt a non-stop flight from • Dunedin to Auckland, arrived at Rongotai Aerodrome, en route to the south, about 11 o'clock this morning from Feilding. Captains Bloomfield and Seabrook, also of Auckland, were expected in Wellington early this afternoon. They are to attend the dinner to Mr Winchester to-night, and from here they proceed to Christchurch to take part m the Canterbury Aero Club's pageant.
