Following upon the Ministry of Labour's intervention, representatives of the cotton industry employers and emplovees are meeting shortly to attempt to find a basis of settlement. — Australian Press Association. [The Ministry of Labour intervened following the cotton employers' decision to reduce wages by 12$ per cent, from July 29th, a general stoppage of work affecting 500,000 employees being regarded as certain if the ent were put into operation.]
