WOMEN TEACHERS' ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Canterbury Branch of the Women Teachers' Association was held in the Y.W.C.A. Cafeteria, where Miss E. Sapsford presided over a good attendance of members. Miss Sapsford, in an earnest address, urged all women teachers to attend the meeting of the Canterbury Branch of the Teachers' Institute to be held to-morrow night, when a new salary scheme will be discussed. Teachers of the upper standards then discussed the subject "Oral Expression," the leaders being Miss Gladys Morgan and Miss M. Kennedy, and teachers of the junior classes, led by Misß Wills, discussed methods of continuing individual work amongst children passing from the primer classes to the lower standard.
