TEACHER HONOURED.
Miss C. Pattriek, who is retiring from the teaching profession after many years of devoted service, was the guest of honour at a delightful party given at Ballantyne's by the committee of the Canterbury Branch of the Women Teachers' Association. Miss Pattrick was a foundation member of the Association, and has held executive office from the inception of the Association until the end of last year. On behalf of the committee, Miss A. Finlayson thanked Miss Pattrick for the assistance she had given to members of the Association, and asked her to accept a parting gift 0 f a hat-box, as a memento of the happy days they had spent together.
Miss Pattrick is leaving shortly for a trip abroad.
