ANNUAL DANCE.

In the Winter Garden, last uiglu. the committee of the Opawa Lawn Tennis Club held a most enjoyable dance a gathering of more than passino- interest, as it marked the twentyfirst birthday of this ffourishing club. The members of the committee were Misses K. * • -Bsson, P. Esson. E. Johnston, J. Kane, .Messrs C. N. Franklin.. G. Osborne, K. A. White, J. Sinclair, aiid H. M. Mmson (lion, secretary>. The Baiiey-Marston Orchestra supplied the music and Miss Ivy Fowler's pupils danced an attractive ballet. At an interval between dances, Mr Peter Menzies, who, as president of the club since its inception, twenty-one vears ago, has rendered valuable serpice to the tennis players of the district, was presented with a gold key as a memento of his unfailing interest during his long term of office.
