LINCOLN COLLEGE.
BOARD OF GOVERNORS MEETS. The Board of Governors of Canterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln, met yesterday, when there were present: Messrs John Deans (chairman), H. S. S. Kyle, M.P., H. A. Knight, T. A. Stephens, Jas. Murray. N. M. Orbell, Dr. H. G. Denham, the Hon. Mr Buddo, and the Director (Mr R. E. Alexander). It was reported that the lire stock on the farm had never been in better condition than at present. Dr. Denham reported that the Board of Governors of Canterbury College had ngreed to fall in line with' the proposal of the Lincoln College Board in regard to an entomologist being engaged part time at Lincoln and part time at Canterbury College, his salary being paid proportionately by the two institutions. An application for a subsidy had been forwarded to the Government. Regarding a proposal to lease an area of 100 acres of the College farm to the Agricultural Department for experimental purposes, the chnirman reported having interviewed Mr Cockayne, Assistant-Director of Agriculture, who, while agreeable to the
terms submitted, was unable to commit himself to any definite scheme. The resignation of Mr R. H. B. Murray, veterinary surgeon, was accepted, and it was decided to advertise for a successor.
