PLUNKET SOCIETIES.
PAPANUI. The monthly committee meeting of the Papanui Sub-Branch of the Plunket Society was held in St. Paul's Schoolroom, where there were present, Mrs L. M. Wilson (in the chair), Mesdames L. R. Corsbie, E. E. Heywood, F. B. Wright, R. J. Lyon, J. Paulsen, J. R. Burt, E.. A. Smith, Roy Mathews, H. N. Talbot, W. It. Lascelles, W. H. Meddings, H. Wvatt, and L. C. Sisson.
Mrs Wilson welcomed Mrs G. Holford as a new member of the committee. A very hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mrs Leicester Matson for organising a dance and bridge party, the proceeds from which augmented the Sub-Branch's funds by £lB 10s. The jnmble sale, organised by the committee, realised £26 ss. For Papanai room, Nurse Maclean reported as follows:—Adults seen 193, babies 162, pre-school children 56, new cases 5. •
Subscriptions were received from Mesdames L. B. Jordon, A. Davidson, I. X. Moore, N. S. Payne, D. B. Cummings, J. Donuhue, S. Balfour, E. L. Cordery, and M. Furneaux.
