WEDDINGS.
SHEARMAN—GEMMELL. At St. Andrew's Church a . pretty evening wedding was quietly celebrated recently, when Wilhelmina (Minnie), youngest daughter of Mr and the late Mrs W. Gemmell, of Heathcote, was married to Walter William Shearman, also of Heathcote. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Mr Butler, and Mr Robert Lake was organist. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful shell-pink embossed georgette frock and hat to tone. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and white flowers. Miss Mabel Nystram, of Lyttelton, attended as bridesmaid, wearing an apple-green georgette frock and a black hat. She carried a bouquet of pink flowers. Mr Alex Gemmell, brother of the bride, was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Cafe Cecil. Mrs Masefield, sister of the bride, who received the guests, wore a black georgette frock with touches of white. Mr and Mrs W. Shearman left later by motor for their wedding tour, the bride wearing a navy blue costume and a smart hat to match.
