MORE PLANS RECEIVED. PUns for the competition for tbe beat design for the new Art Gallery are still coming in to th® Town Q«rk'« office, and almost every hour » frwh batch is delivered to the Coonci! Chambers. Up till four o'clock yesterday afternoon 34 sets of plans hail coma to hand, and word baa been received that others are on the «rav. The closing time to** accordingly been extended, and as there were originally &5 entries from all parte of the world, the Town Clerk's office is likely to become inundated with plana during the next few days, although a few entrants have since signified their intention of not competing. Mr S. Hurst Seager is the aasassor for the competition. The other members of the jury which is to make the awards are the Mayor fMr J. K. Archer). Mr R. E. McDontraH. and Mr Richard Wall work (prwident of the Canterbury Society of Art*).
