GREEK BRIGANDS.
WILL ANSWER FOR CRIMES.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION— BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH —COPYRIOHT.) ATHENS, November 4. A detachment of police have gone to Varna to extradite the three survivors of the Greek band of brigands, who, it is alleged, are guilty of 88 murders, and of terrorising the countryside around Janina for years. It is further alleged that early in 1928 they attacked a mail van, killed the eight attendants and stole a considerable amount of money. They were arrested in Athens but they escaped after lulling three detectives and subsequently established a lucrative grainmerchants' business in Bulgaria before their arrest—Australian Press Association.
