MELBOURNE, November 8, The ■waterside dispute took a new turn to-day when coal lumpers refused to coal two steamers in port. Their licenses will probably bo cancelled. , When a call was made for men to coal the liner Beltana those who were pre- 0 sent turned their backs and refused to be picked up. . , The Beltana is being loaded by volunteers at Port Melbourne.—Australian . JOURNALIST ATTACKED;

MELBOTJRNE, November 6., A journalist from the Melbourne "Argus" was attacked and kicked and his shorthand notes torn up, on'the bank of the Yarra, in the course of a union "demonstration against the Transport Act yesterday.
