INSURANCE CLAIM.
(PRESS association teleoeam.) NEW PLYMOUTH, November 3,
Judgment for defendants was given in the Magistrate's Court this morning in a case in which Mrs Snowden sued the Phoenix Assurance Company for £174 claimed as a loss througn fire on July Ist. The defence was that an overdue premium was not paid until July 2nd, after the fire occurred, but before defendant's agents were aware of it and that the plaintiff did not report the fire.
Plaintiff said that she paid the premium on May Bth and produced a receipt.
