TOURIST SEASON.
j MANY OVERSEAS VISITORS EXPECTED. [THE PRESS Special Service.] AUCKLAND, November 6. A busy tourist season in New Zealand is anticipated. November is looked on. as the first month of the Dominion's tourist season, and from now on mail steamors arriving from overseas will bring hundreds of tourists. Tho Niagara, due here from Vancouver to-morrow, will be the first; real tourist ship of the season, and she has aboard a large number of English and American visitors lor New Zealand. The offices in Europe of Thomas Cook and Son have had an unusually large 'number of inquiries concerning New Zealand, and the number of people actually booked is greater than in previous years. One feature is the interest of wealthy Ger*mans in the British Dominions, and many propose visiting ~Sew Zealand and Australia, this summer. Others are coming from India, Norway, Sweden, and the- Malay States among other countries. Everything indicates a record influx of visitors to New Zealand.
A special party of 40 American tour ists will arrive in February, and wil tour both Islands.
