MARIST FOOTBALL CLUB. At the animal meeting of the Marist Football Club there -was a good attendance of members. 11l the eourse of the annual report it was stated that the club was to be congratulated upoD having won both the junior and third grade competitions, which teams'had gone through the scatoii with unbeaten records. The senior team, for the third year in succession, had been runners-up. The third grade team had also won in the seven-a-side tournament. The election of officers resulted:— Patron, Rev. Father Knight; president, Mr W. -Bulund: vice-president, Mr T. Two mey; secretary, Mr I), Eeves; treasurer. Mr J. Flanagan; club captain, Mr M. Healey; Finance Committee, Messrs E. Bray, E. A. Craighead, •J. Flanagan. and D,. .Keyes; general committee, Messrs *M. Kennedy, D. Patterson, P. Corwery. 12. A. Craighead. JT. Adams, E. Bray, and L. Foley; delegates to' sub-union, Messrs E. Bray and D. Keyes; coaches —seniors, M. Healey and vice-captain: juniors, V. Thompson, third grade, D. Keyes. Referees' Association. Mr T. E. Parry (president) presided over the annual meeting of the Waiinate Referees' Association, there being a large attendance. Mr L. E. Smith, who has left the district, tendered his resignation, which was. received with regret,- and it was resolved to record on the minutes appreciation of Mr Smith's past services.

The Sub-Union wrote intimating that the expenses of sending a dplejrate to the Referees' Conference, to he held at Carterton, would he borne bv the Sub-Union, and trio meeting resolved that Mr J. L. ilenzies attend (he conference as delegate from the Waimate Association.

The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr T. E. Parry; vice-president. Mr R. E. McNish; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. L. Menzies. Messrs Xicliol, Elisor, and Kennard were elected members of the -Association. School Committee. At the monthly meeting of the School Committee, Mr R. B. Hurst was in the chair. .The headmaster was asked to draw up specifications of what would be required for the school library, and a vote of thanks was passed to him for his work in connexion with the concert. Eiflc Shooting. •At the last shoot of the Waimate Defence Uifie Club, which was held on the Studholme raDpe, the conditions were ten shots at 300 and dVO yards.
