FOOTBALL CLUB. The annual meeting of the Geraldine Football Club was held in Mr Kennedy's rooms, Mr F. B, Flatman, the president, presiding over a large attendance.- The report showed that the past season had not been a very successful 6ne. Several teams had experienced difficulty in fielding a full side. ■As the practice grounds were now lit by electricity, a good deal of night practice could be had, which should raise' the standard considerably. The balance-sheet revealed a small credit -balance. The election of officers resulted: — Patron, Mr T. D. Burnett, M.P.; president, Mr F. Flatman; vice-presidents, 12 elected; secretary, Mr E. Turner; treasurer, Mr C. Gibson; delegate to South Canterbury Bugby Union, Mr M. Houlihan; committee, Messrs H. Turner, Loach, Grieve, F. Turner, Lorrimer, and A. Fyfe. t It was decided to enter teams in the third, fourth, and fifth grades in the South Canterbury competitions.

ST. ANDREWS. A meeting was held in the Library on Monday evening in order to reform the Miniature Rifle Club, which disbanded in 1922. Mr E. O'Loughlin, secretary of the old club, was voted to the chair. The balance-sheet of the old club showed a debit of os 3d. It was decided to start a fresh club, and take over the liabilities of the old club. It was also decided to sell the old material and buy new. The following officers were elected: —Patroness, Mrs P. R. Woodliouse; patron, Mr H. B. Johnstone ; president, Mr R. Gray; vicepresidents, the Rev. A. MacXeur, Messrs A. Woods, C. 12. S. Johnston, J. Bitdiener, M.P.. R. Bagrio, R. L. Pugli, J. Dempsey, senr., E. D. Blank, L. O'Loughlin, J. K. Russell, H. P. Palmer, J. Blue, E. Dash; secretary, Mr H. Pugli; treasurer, Mr D. Stowell: handicapper, to be appointed ; judges of targets, Messrs T. Rooney and E. D. Hoskins: club captain, Mr D. Tate; vice-oaptain, Mr R. C. Russell ; auditor, Mr D. Tate; supervisors, Captain and vice-captain. It was decided that- nil handicaps be sealed handicaps. Negotiations are to be entered into with the Gun Club,- in order to hold a carnival m- srymkhana for the benefit of both clubs.
