WILDING SHIELD. Tho light shower of rain last evening prevented the resumption of practice by members of tho Canterbury team to meet Wellington In tho Anthony Wilding Shield Match, which takes place at Wilding Park on Friday and Saturday. Arrangements have been made for tho Canterbury ladies to practise at Wilding Park during this week. In anticipation of the Interprovincial match against Wellington, which will take placo on Monday. This match will occupy tho whole day, the first games commencing toon after 0 a.m. Tho final Wellington selection has yet to be made, but it ia known that the team Includes Miss Arlta Howe, the present lady champion of New Zealand, so that the prospect of another contest between her and Miss May Spelrs will bo awaited with interest. 'lt Is hoped, aJao, to arrango a game between 0. E. Malfroy, tho Dominion junior champion, and C. Angas, the local, junior, whote performances this season have secared his selection in the Shield team. For the benefit of those wishing to reserve their seats for tho Shield match the following is the pider of play for the two days:— First day, Friday, February 18th: —At 1.80 p.m.: Court No. 1, Patterson v. France: Court No. 2, Angas v. Franco. At 3 p.m.: Court No. 1, Ollivler v. Wilson; Court No. 2, Seay v. Andrews. At 4.30 p.m.: Court No. 1. Patterson and Angas v.
