INDUSTRIAL MISSION.

AUSTRALIAN DELEGATES FOR AMERICA. [THE PRESS Special Berries.] AUCKLAND, February 14. Entrusted with a mission to investigate industrial conditions in the United States, a delegation from the Commonwealth of Australia arrived by the Niagara from Sydney today en route to America. It consists of four representatives of the employers of the Commonwealth, and four representatives of the employees. The employers' representatives are Messrs M. P. Campbell, of Brisbane; H. E. Guy, of Melbourne; C. Ludowici, of Svdnev, and A. J. McNeil, of Perili. The employees are represented by Messrs A. Mclnnes and J. Unden, of South Australia, and J. C. Valentine, of Queensland. The fourth member, Mr E. Grayndler, of New South Wales, will follow by a later boat, joining the party at Detroit. Accompanying the delegation arc two women observers, Miss May Matthews, of New Sonth Wales, and Dr. Kate McKay, of Victoria. The former will study the welfare of female employees in the United States, and the latter matters connected with hygiene. The delegation will return about the end of June. Mr R. J. Murphy, industrial officer to the Commonwealth Defence Department, is acting as secretary to the delegation, and two Press representatives accompany the party.
