LINESMEN ON STRIKE.
TROUBLE ON WEST COAST. (SPECIAL. TO THB FBBSS ) GREYMOUTH, February 9. Owing to a grievance in connexion with the dismissal of one of tho outdoor staff, the whole of tho Grey Power Board's linesmen Btoppcd work this morning. Tho men bad previously notified the engineer that they would ceaso work if the dismissed man was not reinstated within 24 hours.
There was no change in the position this evening. It is understood that the men will place their grievance before tho chairman, Mr J. W. Greenslade, to-morrow, when it is expected that a settlement will be reached.
