The treatment of cripples in times of war and peace was the subject of one of the most important discussions at the Medical Congress: this morning. Schemes for tho education and treatment of crippled children, of persons suffering from industrial injuries, and the establishment of centres for tho practice of orthopaedic surgery, wfiiuh was linked up with so ranch value with militarv surgery in the war, were- suggested "by the doctors who took part in the discussion. The surgical aspect of hydatid disease was the subject of a paper given by Sir George Byrne (Melbourne). The Congress practically concluded its sessions this nfternoon. and a larce number of delegates will by the iiprees to-morrow.
