SMALL BOY DROWNED.
(rnKss ASSOCIATION TKI.r.GnAM.) GISBORNE. February 7. A small hoy named George Spill was drowned yesterday afternoon in the Waimata river. His parents and a party had been swimming during the afternoon and the littlo chap, fn bathing costume, was playing around in tho water. By 5.30 p.m. everyone had left tho water, and between that timo and six o'clock the boy was missed. A search was instantly mado and the body recovered caught in a 6nag a short distance up the river.
