PROPOSED REFORMS. ENGINEERING EMPLOYERS' SUGGESTIONS. (BT CABLE—JBTSB ASSOCIATION—COFTBIOHT.) (AUSTRALIAN USD N.S. CAIH ASSOCIATION) (Received February 7th, 6.-50 p.m.) LONDON, February 7. in view of the Baldwin Government's proposed Reform of Trade Union laws, tho Engineering Employers' National Federation proposes the following regulations : (1) A Trade Union should be liable for damages in respect of tortuous acts I committed by them o r on their behaiT. \ (2.) The breaking of contracts of em- i ployment in furtherance of trade dis- i putcs should be actionable. I (3) In connexion with political I levies, provision should l.e mndo for contracting in, instead of contracting | out. I
(4.1 Mass picketing and picketing of houses should be illegal. The Federation adds that provident funds should not bo available to meet claims in respect of damages.
