MELBOURNE, February 7.
A wireless message from the Renown states that the first of the series of films to illustrate Australian and New Zealand life and scenery was shown last night, the Royal party revelling in the beauties of Lakes Rotorua and Rotoiti. ~ , . The Duke and Duchess of York are much interestcd. , . • Earl Cavan has improved so much in health that he is now able to discard crutches and walks with sticks. After consultation with the notional organisations of Labour, the following cablegram endorsing the policy of the British Labour Party in connexion with the present crisis in China has been forwarded to Mr Eugene Chen, the Cantoneso Nationalist leader:—"The New Zealand Labour movement endorses British Labour's policy and urges the British Government to employ every means to complete an amicable settlement by negotiation."
