BISHOP OF LONDON.
VISIT TO CHRjSICHUftCtt. v "\Vo are looking forward to the Bishop of London's visit and hope that even if it comes at tho Same time ns the Royal visit we may bo able to get great help from him and show him our appreciation. I will appoint a small committee in February to work out de* tails, but I suggest after consultation with the Dean a plan somewhat as follows : Tho Bishop of London arrives on Saturday, March 12th. at Lyttelton. Wo would meet him there and bring him over to Christchurch. The Mayrt is kindly anxious to give him ft civic welcome, and this will probably be at 11.30 a.m. on the Saturday. Follow* iug this.we might have a clerical lunch or otie for members of Svndd to meet the Bishop. In the eveiiinft the Royal reception takes placo. On Sunday the Mill wc had thought of it serinon in the afternoon in the Cathedral, nrid ; if it can lit** arranged, a great meeting in the Drill Hall at 8 p.m. Wo might have some further gathering on the MOndav afternoon while the Royal party is at Ambe.fley. but the Bishop tmtsi have some time for relaxation and seeing tho City mid neighbourhood." says Bishop ANest-WatSOn, writing to tho ''Church News."
