COMPROMISE SUGGESTED IN SOUTH AFRICA. (BT CABLE—PBE3S ASSOCIATION—COPTHIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND X.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received June 23rd, 1.15 a.m.) CAPE TOWN, June 23. Mr Roos, Minister for Justice, assured a Labour deputation that he was prepared to 'accept U.e National Labour Council's suggestion that the Union, Jack and South African flag should have full equality, and should be flown side by side. He believes that this is a solution' which would be acceptable to the Transvaal Free State Nationalists, but it remains to be seen whether it will be acceptable to the South African Party.
