RELIGIOUS TEACHING IN SCHOOLS.
TO THE EDITOK OJ "THE PHESS." Sir, —In your report of the Mothers' Union Council meeting, held on Friday last, the purport of the amendment which I moved was not correctly stated. It was not a question of taking more time for consideration, but of hearing the other side. The actual wording of the amendment was: (a) That it is desirable that the Council should liciir tin' plea of those church-people who r.rc opposed to Mr Isitt's Bill, and (1.) that for this purpose, the Rev. Canon TVilford be invited to address the Council at a meeting to be summoned for the purpose."—Yours, etc., THE MOVER OF THE AMENDMENT.
