TO THE BDITO* O* "THE TRESS." Sir, —The laying of ■wreaths on Cenotaphs in cities, • towns, and villages throughout the Empire, prompts one to enquire, "Why Christchruch has* no Cenotaph?" Answer —Becauso the Mayor and Labour Councillors from a perverted class consciousness, and Dr. Chilton, Messrs Agar and Andrews (who should have known- better), from arrogance or selfsufficiency, have combined to defeat the purpose of. those who desired to honour our dead. Thus has Christchurc.h once again made itself ridiculous in the eyes of the World I—Yours,1 —Yours, etc., PKO PATRIA.
