As a result of the Senate Prohibition investigation, both the "Wets" and "Drys" plan a national campaign desi gn«l to reach every city, town, and J hamlet in the United States for tho j purpose of arousing the sentiment of each side in order that tho full strength of each side be brought to the polls in the November Congressional elections. The Association against the Prohibition Amendment has issued a statement charging the Anti-Saloon League with raising 1,000,000 dollars for tho campaign. The League, in turn, has issued a statement denying the charge and asserting that the Association itself is raising 300,000 dollars. A National Student Association poll of student opinion in tho leading colleges throughout the country on Prohibition will shortly be taken. In the meantime United States Attorney Bucknor, in a memorandum sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee, estimated that it would cost 70,000,000 dollars annually to enforce Prohibition in New York State.
