Loney and Mr Cowley. «Mr' IV Nixon'was M.C. 1 ' Boyi' CluW ' '■ The annual meeting oI the Methodist Boys' Club was held laßt Friday night.- Mr W. Burnell presided aver; a good- attendance - of enthusiastic members. The'..secretary read the annual report and balance-sheet, which showed a distinct yrogress in theclub" work during the past- year. • The election qt oificofs for the ensuing year resulted ,*s follows :—President, Mr'. W. Bunnell;, secretary and treasurer, E. : King; captain; M f •A. McDowell; Vice-captain; ')V. : Connolly. '- Several suggestions were -made for - the programme', ftfr the 1926 session. At the .close the boys were entertained to supper. by Mr Burneli Anrac Services. ■. , A memorial service' Was conducted at the Heathcote War Memorial on Sunday morning; •at 10 o'clock. There was a good attendance of residents. A- parade of, the local detachment of Territorials and Cadets, , under Lieut. Breach, added to the' impressiveness of the ceremony. The Rev, T.M.Curnow," vicar of St. Mary's Church, conducted the service,, and. the Rev. W, H. Speer, superintendent of the Wo'olston Methodist circuit, gave the address. During the singing of the last hymn several floral - tributes from, the' relatives and friends of fallen soldierß, the Heathcote County Counoil, .the Heathcote . Club, the railway staff,' and'the Heathcotd school children were laid' fct the fdot of the monument. The service concluded with' the singing* of the National Anthem.
