—» • . ' (FKESS ABSOCU.TZOM t^iIECSAU.) AUCKLAND, April 26. The cable ship Iris retufnted on. Sunday, haviric repaired a break in the Pacific Gable about 370 miles west of Wellington. The work was delayed by a heavy gale, which prr-stiled for fire days, during which the Iris was horeto. It is understood that the damage to the cable-was due to age. • , Mr Percy Hunter, manager of the Pacific Cable Board, who arrived by the Iris, proceeds to Sydney, by ,tbe Niagara. '
