Tho Damascus correspondent of the "Daily Mail" reports that fighting is of daily occurrence in the city. Barri- , cades erected by the French in the chief quarters of the city are causing France's Armenian and Circassian levies to resort to indiscriminate firing. Bullets are whizzing day and night, , and many harmless citizens are being killed. Armenians are committing many atrocities, looting and cutting off women's hands to secure rings and bracelets. The rebels frequently raid the city kidnapping notables whom they are holding for ransom.
