REFUSED TO PAY.
PAHIATUA AND EXHIBITION. . (PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.) PAHIATUA, March 9. The Pahiatua County Council refuses to pay the quota of £l7O, fixed some time ago, to the Wellington committee for the Wairarapa Court at the Exhibition on the ground that Pahiatua is not represented in the exhibits. It is alleged that the committee did not carry out its promise to arrange for good district illustrations and publicity. There have been several complaints by visitors on the poor Wairarapa representation at the Exbibitidn. and that Pahiatua is not in the picture.
