N.S.W. LABOUR EDICT. (B1 CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received January, loth, 10.45 p.m.) SYDNEY, January 15. As an echo of the defeat of the Government in the Legislative Council over the Electoral Bill, a meeting of the Labour Party decided that in view of the vital importance to the .Labour movement of the passing of Government legislation, and as the planks of the Labour platform must come before every other consideration, the Party will not recognise any pairs given in the Legislative Council, and instructs any member who has granted a pair to discontinue it at once.
This means the repudiation of the honourable political arrangement with the Nationalists, . but the motion was carried with only one dissentient.
