ROSE CARNIVAL.

IN BOTANIC GARDENS. FINE DISPLAY OF BLOOMS. On Saturday the Christchurch Domains Board and the Canterbury Horticultural Society held a rose carnival in the Botanic Gardens. Considering the dull weather the attendance was gocd. Besides the marquee which housed the roses there were others in which afternoon tea was provided and sideshows hidden. Tho show was officially opened by the Mayor (Mr J. IC. Archer). In spite of the recent inclement weather the blooms displayed were beautiful and greatly admired. PRIZE LIST.
