MICROSCOPICAL SOCIETY.
The eleventh annual meeting of the Canterbury Natural , History and Microscopical Society was held last, night. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £1 4s 7d, and assets vauled at' £2O. The resignation of Dr. -S. Wyld Pairman from the position of president was accepted with regret. , The following-officers were elected:—President, Mr J. B. Garnett; vice-presidents, Dr. Pairman and Mr C. Dash; secretary, Mr J. J. 8. Cornea; treasurer,. Mr S. Lindsay; auditor, Mr Just; lanternist, Mr A. Noble; committee, Messrs Tonnoir, A. D. Martin, E. A, Martin, and C. H. E. Graham.
