BELFAST HALL.
LOAN POLL DEFEATED. A poll of ratepayers of tho -Belfast Eiding of the Waimairi County was taken yesterday on a proposal to raise a loan of £6OOO for the purpose of erecting a new Town Hall at Belfast. Tho number of votes cast in favour of the proposal was 35, and against HO. The proposal was therefore lost.
