HEALTH WEEK.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. SEPTEMBER 20TH TO 26TH. * \ meeting of the Health Week Committee was held in the City Council Chambers yesterday, the Mayor (Mr J. K. Archer) presiding. It was decided to set up a subcommittee to arrange for suitable times with the Christchurch Gas Co. for cookery demonstrations, such demonstrations to be given in conjunction with addresses on food values. Mrs Pairman and Misses Law. Hood and Mmr were appointed the sub-committoe. Mr H. Holland, who was deputed at a previous meeting of the committee to wait, on the various Christchurch newspapers and ask their assistance in ■connexion with the campaign, stated that it appeared that the different journals would be prepared to co-oper-ate with the committee. It seemed, however, that the nows.pa.pers would prefer the Health Week to be held a week earlier than had I>eeii proposed, October 4th tr> October 10th. Messrs H. ' Holland, 10. Carr, E. H. Marriner", a.nid Dr. Guthrie were appointed a propaganda committee.
