SUDDEN DEATH.
The. Rangiora Police received advice yes.terday that Mr James Charles Paget, farmer, had died suddenly, at his- home, "Eyredale," Swannanoa, just,-' before noon. Deceased, who was .46 years of age, had been unwell during the. last few days, having suffered from heart trouble. It was not known yesterday if an inquest would be held. It Mi understood that a doctor; is ' prepared to give a certificate as to "death.

A well-known citizon, A. H. Heasoman, was found dead : in. hin tailoring premises yesterday morning. Not having returned -the : night -previous, - a search was made., and- the door ■ wa3 found locked. Upon entering : it was discovered that the room was filled with gas. Deceased was in a. sitting position near an ironing gas jet, with> a cloth over his head. .Heaseman-was a married man with' a. gro\vn ; up family. WHAKATANE, '22.:
A mail, named Houcyco'mbe, "while pig-hunting in the Manawaho v ßush yesterday, was about- to .stick* a, pig when the knife slipped' and caught him in the groin, fevering an artery.
