LOCAL ASSOCIATION. The monthly meeting of the executivo of the Christchurch Boy Scouts' Local Association was held laot night, the Commissioner, Mr G. Lancaster, presiding. Sir C. H. Opawa; 7.20, Wolf Cubs; 7.40, bridge building, East Belt Wesley Troop; 7.55, master-at-arms display, Addmgton Troop; 8.5, fire-fighting and life : saving, New Brighton 'Troop; 8.15, signalling, Lyttelton Troop; 5.20, ambulance, St. Matthew's; 8.40, physical drill, Linwocd; 8.50, rallies; 9 p.m., dismiss. . , • . , , A suggestion that a boxing display should, be included was approved. The Commissioner was instructed to reply favourably to a letter, received from tho Sumner tJea Scout Troop, asking tor affiliation ivith the local Association on speclnl terms. It was decided to approve of a combined patrol camp at Christmas time, provided that some responsible persons could take charge of it in the absence of ecoutm-istera-at a special "Gilwell" camp. It wa3 resolved to co-operate with the Girl Guides in a demonstration to bid farewell to the Governor-General on Saturday October ISth. Scoutmaster Dyer was asked to send 16 boys, four boys from the four troops, to servo as patients at tho St. John Ambulance examinations.
