At a meeting of the Council of the National Coursing Association of Netf Zealand, Air Lea Fowler (Secretary of the AUbtralnfeia.il Union) wrote that the Australian representative*, together with the dogs, would leave Sydney on the 19th insfc., and requested the Association to facilitate the passing of the dogs through the Stock Department The Association secretary was directed to write to the Stock Department, Christ' church, accordingly. The chairman stated that the Council secretary had tendered his resignation. This was on account of the action Of the Selwyn Club's secretary. -:>• >*■ It Wbb resolved: (1) That the secretary be asked to withdraw hia resignation, the Council appreciating hid good work ,for the past fourteen years, and realising that it Would be »e*t to impossible to obtain the Services of any other gentleman who could so ably Carry on the secretarial work tolutttarily. (S) That the president of the Selwyn Coursing Club be written to pointing out that the Australasian Waterloo fixture should be adhered to, and that it is of course exjpected that the Wishes of tho executive Officers of the Australasia* Union and the New Zealand Council should be given Meet to." A recommendation from the Selwyn Coursing Club that Mr H. Muir be appointed clipper was agreed to, tho Selwyn Club to be advised that in the event of Mr B. Codmbe* being present, he. would act a3 slipsteward, with five judicial stewards to be appointed by Mr H. V. Foy, and the New Zealand Association's representative.
