INTERESTING LAND CASE.
(press association telegram.) WELLINGTON, Julie 9. An unusual point formed the bas ; s of an action commenced at the Supreme Court to-day. The questions raised related to the rights of certain residents of Muritai to hold the title of land, a part of which had been formed by accretion from the" sea. It was contended by the Eastbourne Borough Council, the plaintiffs, that originally the laud had been dedicated as a road, and that it was therefore vested in the borough. Any such dedication was defied by the defendants, who contended that the land was vested in them, and their predecessors in title. The caso is prooeeding.
