Patterson informed the United States Lawn Tennis, Association that the Australian team,-' which, has l>een practising aud playing an exhibition match, will leave for the Eaet on June 20th, but he -lias not yet decided whether the team should "go direct to New York or participate in various middle-West tournaments, including the clay court championship at St. Louis on July sth. Patterson, however, stressed the intention of the team to participate in tho leading Eastern turf tournaments prior to the first round of the Davis Cup tieß, including at Seabright, Newport, and Longwood, the National Doubles at Southampton, and tho New York Metropolitan Championship. Members of the team are feeling fit, but Patterson is anxious to begin action immediately, wislung to get the team into condition gradually instead of crowding all its practice into a. short period, CZECHO-SLOVAKIA WINS AGAIN.
