The "Daily Chronicle'' says that the French Air Staff is carrying out investigations which may revolutionise the strategy of aerial warfare. In order to guard against aerodromes being attacked, they are establishing remote and almost undiscoverable Bases on the Algerian coasts, from which bombing planes would set out, receiving supplies in mid-air from oilcarrying planes.
[lt was reported in December last that experiments of supplying petrol from one aeroplane to another during flight had been successfully conducted in France. The receiving machine flew to a height of 10,000 ft, while the supplying machine was about 90ft higher. It dropped a pipe line and remained for five minutes ill the some relative position, filling the other's tanks.]
