SYDNEY, March 4.
Although there were 113 more marriageß in Now South "Wales last year than the previous year, there wore 100 fewer babies born, the birth-rate being 5 per cent, below tho average of the preceding five years. As compensation, the death-rate amongst children under one year was 5.1 per cent, below the average for the previous five years. • , A feature of the marriage market was the number, particularly of males, who married below the age of 21 years, the average being 15.5 per cent, above that for the previous five years.
