What newspapers characterise as another outbreak of violent crimes, has occurred here in the past 24 hours when seven hold-ups, three robberies, and one stabbing were reported to the police. Many thousands of dollars were stolen, and several persons injured by desperadoes who resented their victims' unwillingness to surrender money. Drug addicts looted a chemist's, injuring the proprietor. Besides emptying the till, they took several botles of heroin and cocaine. Two men dressed in women's clothes were arrested following several holdups, and two robberies attributed to negroes.
