CZiSCHO-SLOVAKIAN SCANDALS.

The Vienna correspondent of "The Times" Bays that sensational army contract scandals cropped up in Czechoslovakia recently, when it was discovered that persons in the Ministry of National Defence were taking bribes and commissions from contractors who supply petrol for the Czecho-Slovakian army.
Several army officers, including a general, are said to be implicated, and Dr. Svatek, editor of the Government bulletin, a well-known personality in official circles, has been arrested, charged with being privy to the affair,
The contractors are accused of bribing anny officers to accept petrol of inferior quality to that specified. A number of representatives of the firms concerned have also been arrested on charges of fraud and corruption.
